    Dr. Jaime Gutiérrez is a Biochemist (2005), Master in Biological Sciences (2007) and completed the PhD program in Biological Sciences, with a mention in Cellular and Molecular Biology (2009) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC; Santiago, Chile ), graduating with highest distinction. Through an insertion into the academy grants (FONDECYT), he joined to the Faculty of Biological Sciences at PUC, having the opportunity to carry out a postdoctoral stay at the Sprott Center of Stem Cell Research Institute, Ottawa University (Ottawa, Canada) and later at the Department of Obstetrics, PUC. In 2014 he joined as an academic and principal investigator at the San Sebastián University (USS; Santiago, Chile). He developed (2017) and directs the USS academic master's program, Cellular and Molecular Basis of Chronic Diseases. He is a full member of the Cs Societies. Physiological and Cellular Biology of Chile. As a researcher, he has led 3 scientific projects, published 41 scientific articles, and trained nearly 20 undergraduate and postgraduate students

Biological, with a mention in cellular and molecular biology (2009) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC; Santiago, Chile), graduating with maximum distinction.  Through an insertion competition in the FONDECYT academy, he joined as an academic of the Fac. Cs. Biological Sciences at PUC, having the opportunity to carry out a postdoctoral stay at the Sprott Center of Stem Cell Research, Ottawa University (Ottawa, Canada) and then at the Department of Obstetrics, PUC. In 2014 he joined as an academic and principal researcher at the Universidad San Sebastián (USS; Santiago, Chile).     Teaching

    Dr. Jaime Gutiérrez has led and participated in the Cellular Biology subjects and leads the Molecular Diagnostics subjects at the Faculty of Medicine and Science of the USS. He is the director of the Master's program in Cellular and Molecular Biology of Chronic Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine and Science, USS. Member of the Academic Faculty of the Doctorate program in Cell Biology and Biomedicine and full member of the Institutional Committee on Ethics in the Care and Use of Animals in Research, USS. He is also a guest editor at Frontiers in medicine and participates as a project evaluator in the G1 medicine group, ANID, Chile.
