Research interests

Her research focuses on the effects of maternal dyslipidemia during pregnancy on feto-placental endothelial function, maternal and fetal oxidative profile, lipid trafficking from maternal to fetal circulation, cell trafficking of lipid receptors and transporters, maternal and neonatal lipoprotein profile, and function, considering the function on key cells for the atherosclerotic process in order to evaluate the impact of this maternal pathology on maternal and neonatal cardiovascular risk. Currently, we have begun to evaluate a possible nutritional intervention in women and animal models of pregnancy-associated dyslipidemia to determine if we are able to control the adverse effects already described
