Organization profile

Organization profile

The Faculty of Education of Universidad San Sebastián has as a fundamental purpose that our future teachers promote pedagogical innovation, hence the research work plays a key role. In this sense, we have a Research Department dedicated to promote, encourage, support and accompany the activities that favor the systematization, development and transmission of knowledge in didactic innovation, initial teacher training, inclusion and school management. It also promotes the organization of research groups and nuclei focused on a specific line or area. Its focus is that all the research produced is transferred and socialized to undergraduate teaching, in order to influence the development and evolution of the knowledge taught in the Faculty.

Its strategic objectives are:

  • To promote innovation in teaching through the production of material to support teaching, as well as research in these processes, focusing on the opportunity to innovate both conceptually and methodologically, also responding to the requirements arising from the accreditation processes.
  • To promote the internal competitiveness of projects, favoring the development of research capacities in the Faculty.
  • To promote the external competitiveness of projects, favoring the production and transfer of new knowledge.
  • To densify production and transfer of knowledge through the increase in quality and number of publications in indexed journals.
  • To promote associativity (national and/or international) between institutions through researchers, with the aim of generating large-scale projects that are oriented to enhance both research and development.
