In the field of Discourse Analysis, its focus of study is on the discursive strategies of verbal politeness and polite attenuation. She is coordinator of the LEED (Reading, Writing, Education and Speech) Research Center of the Faculty of Education of the San Sebastián University. She has participated as a co-researcher in projects financed by ANID and has directed projects with regional public funds FIC (Innovation Fund for Competitiveness)

She is a research professor at the Faculty of Education of the San Sebastián University. She has a PhD in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of Salamanca (Spain), a Master's degree in Letters, a mention in Linguistics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, a Master's degree in Hispanic Lexicography from the Association of Academies of the Spanish Language, Royal Spanish Academy, and a Bachelor of Arts degree. , mention in Hispanic Literature and Linguistics, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Before joining the San Sebastián University, she served as a MAEC/Aecid (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain) scholarship recipient and research linguist at the Chilean Academy of Language (2007-2011). He has carried out research stays at the University of Almería (2019) and the University of Salamanca (2022) and has a postdoctoral degree at the University of Heidelberg, Germany (2016-2017). These researches have been funded by Santander Scholarships and ANID Postdoctoral Scholarships.

His undergraduate teaching is focused on courses on teaching academic Reading and Writing, Literacy, and Educational Research Methodology. He teaches postgraduate studies in the areas of Hispanic Linguistics and Discourse Analysis.
