    Currently, interests are related to the study of genetics and eating behavior, olfactory capacity and eating behavior, and food innovation.

    Dr. Ana María Obregón (Chile): has developed her master's and doctoral work in eating behavior and genetics. He has experience using instruments developed abroad that have been validated in our child population. Post-doctorate, Dr. Obregón has worked on projects financed by ANID and other funds. In this sense, Obregón et al. (2010) has studied the relationship between genetic variants in genes involved in homeostatic and non-homeostatic mechanisms of intake and their association with obesity, eating behavior patterns and food addiction.

    Teaching

    Dr. Obregón has taught undergraduate and graduate degrees. In the nutrition and dietetics career, he has taught subjects such as: Evaluation of nutritional status I; Assessment of nutritional status II, Nutrition Research I and II; Basic nutrition, research methodology and research seminar. He has taught classes for the Master's in Molecular Bases of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases and Master's in Public Health Nutrition programs. In his career he has guided undergraduate theses and master's degrees. Additionally, he has related his line of research to undergraduate and postgraduate studies, and to links with the environment.
