In the research area, the main lines are metabolic markers in excess weight, obesity and metabolic syndrome and their modulation with food sources high in antioxidants, particularly in polyphenols. In parallel, member of the research core “Proposal for a national public policy to increase dietary fiber consumption in the Chilean population.” Building Interdisciplinary Groups, from the San Sebastián University.

Nutritionist graduated from the University of Concepción, Graduate in Nutrition and Dietetics, Master in Human Physiology from the same university and Doctor in Medical Sciences from the University of La Frontera. Currently a research professor at the San Sebastián University, with undergraduate academic activities, specifically in the Adult Clinical area, and postgraduate, as a tutor for final degree projects in the Master of Nutrition in Public Health.
