    Research interests

Nanomaterials play a fundamental role in modern healthcare applications as a new medical tool. Since they can improve the physicochemical and biological characteristics of compounds and organisms. For example, nanomaterials can improve the solubility of compounds, reduce antiviral and antibacterial side effects, improve drug and vaccine delivery, improve the shape fidelity and resolution of 3D scaffolds used for tissue regeneration, and improve the immune response acting as adjuvants.

    Personal profile

Dr Varaprasad Kokkarachedu received PhD in Polymer Science and technology from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Inda. He received 3 International Postdoctoral Fellowships at Creighton University USA, Tshwane University of Technology SA, and Universidad de Concepción, Chile. Before joining USS, he worked as an Investigator at the Advanced Polymer Research Center (CIPA), in Chile. He developed the modern bioactivity of hybrid nanomaterials and biomaterials during this period. He has published over 121 articles, has 36 h-index and more than 5300 citations, and received 10 research grants. He edited books and special issues for Journals and was a member of several Societies. His name has been listed in the Top 2% of scientists in a recent survey conducted by Stanford University to recognize. His objective is to translate primary nano and polymer technology research results for the next generation of biomedical applications.
