Abstract

Polymers assist in getting the nanoparticles with the desired shape, size and dispersion of nanoparticles. Herein, polyethyleneimine-copper oxide (PEI-CuO) nanoparticles were developed via a precipitation technique by varying the molecular weight of cationic PEI. The effect of PEI molecular weight on the shape of CuO was confirmed with electron microscopes. The crystalline structure of formed nanoparticles were confirmed with X-ray diffraction studies. This is the first report on the synthesis of CuO with different morphology using PEI as a capping agent.
