Her research focuses on the topics of Aging, Osteoarthritis, Regenerative Medicine and Autophagy, analyzing the effects of natural treatments of our country in pathologies related to aging and developing related projects (DIUFRO, VIU-FONDEF). The researcher has been a member of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) and has presented her results in different national and international congresses

Dr. Consuelo Arias, a kinesiologist, completed her PhD in Sciences mention in Physiopathology at the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and in Applied Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of La Frontera (Chile), after graduating as Master in Physiopathology from the University of Chile (Chile). During this time, she was awarded research projects (DIUFRO, VIU-FONDEF) and did internships at the Medical Center of Erasmus University (The Netherlands) and at the Department of Clinical and Toxicological Analysis of the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Currently, she is a Professor/Researcher in the Kinesiology career at Universidad San Sebastián

Dr. Consuelo Arias worked for more than 8 years teaching in Preclinical areas, specifically Physiology and Physiopathology for different careers related to Health (Medicine, Nursing, Medical Technology, Kinesiology, etc).
