Personal profile
Williams Leiva is a Civil Metallurgical Engineer from the University of Concepción and a PhD in Mineral Process Engineering from the University of Antofagasta. His doctoral studies were carried out thanks to a scholarship awarded by CSIRO, Chile. During his doctoral studies he was awarded a research assistant competition, worked as a Project Engineer for Rheomining and taught classes at UNAP (Arturo Prat National University). Once he graduated with a PhD, he began working as a Research Academic at UNAP. He currently works as a Teaching-Research Academic of the Civil Engineering in Mining career at the San Sebastián University.
Teaching
Williams Leiva currently works in the teaching area of Metallurgy of Civil Engineering in Mines. Their research impacts teaching through students' reading comprehension, presentations and reporting of scientific articles developed by Williams Leiva and his collaborators with the intention of introducing their students to the world of research and , publicize the current problems and challenges faced by the mining industry.
