    Research interests

The first research topic was the physics of black holes (during the period of his doctorate from 2000 to 2004). He has also worked on high-dimensional gravitational theories (until 2010). From 2011 until now, his main research topics are "non-perturbative" effects in field theory. First, combinatorial methods in the Potts model in statistical mechanics. Second, the problem of Gribov ambiguity in non-Abelian gauge theories and color confinement. Third (and this is the topic that currently occupies almost all of my research time), topological solitons with non-Abelian internal symmetries and the QCD phase diagram. With the methods developed in this line of research, he has managed to build the first exact analytical solutions that describe crystals of tubes and Baryonic layers in 3 spatial dimensions. These solutions of the theory of strong nuclear interactions describe very well the "Nuclear Paste phase" that appears in neutron stars. He is very interested in the physical properties of soliton crystals.
