Dr. Felipe Mondaca obtained his Bachelor's degree in Physics with a mention in Astronomy and a Master's in Science with a mention in Physics, both from Universidad Católica del Norte. He earned his Ph.D. in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology from the Research and Advanced Studies Center of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV) in Mexico. Previously, he served as a professor of physics and mathematics in the common engineering curriculum, and as a technical specialist in Raman spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy at Universidad Católica del Norte. He currently holds a position as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Art, and Design at Universidad San Sebastian. His research focuses on the simulation and modeling of nanocatalysts for hydrogen production and wastewater remediation

Dr. Felipe Mondaca's research interest is situated at the confluence of physics and nanotechnology. Employing the principles of Density Functional Theory, he spearheads the development of models and simulations of nanocatalysts for sustainable practices. His research is primarily focused on employing these nanocatalysts for the production of hydrogen and wastewater treatment, presenting innovative solutions to these globally significant challenges on a nanoscale

Felipe Mondaca holds a Ph.D. in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology from CINVESTAV, Mexico, and is currently an Assistant Professor at Universidad San Sebastian.
