N2 - Nanoformulations of curcumin have garnered significant attention as a promising alternative for various health applications due to their enhanced properties over conventional curcumin formulations. Curcumin, a polyphenol organic antioxidant phytochemical extracted from turmeric, exhibits a wide range of therapeutic benefits but faces challenges such as limited solubility and bioavailability. Curcumin-based nanoformulations offer improved solubility, stability, and bioavailability, driving them a beneficial option for pharmaceutical delivery systems and targeted therapies. Recent studies have highlighted nanocurcumin as superior bacterial infections and have included multidrug-resistant strains. Moreover, nanocurcumin and its formulations show promise in cancer treatment by effectively inhibiting cancer cells and regulating key transcription factors. This review summarizes recent developments in nanocurcumin formulations and their potential in cancer therapy and antibacterial applications, emphasizing their role as innovative solutions for various health issues.
