Resumen

The training in research methods enhance several abilities that are critical for the health professionals. The adequate proposition of hypothesis, far from being a trivial process, constitutes a fundamental step for acquiring an adequate clinical reasoning. In this article, the concepts of conjecture, hypothesis theories and research question are reviewed and the relevance of the scientific criteria for health professionals is emphasized.
