Una Lira desolada: Parodia y frustración en proyecto de obras completas y declaración jurada de Rodrigo Lira

The article focuses on a study of parodie expressions and the poetics of frustration in the writing of Rodrigo Lira. The poet parodically de-stabilizes the word and transforms it into a deconstructive tool which opposes modern discourse. This move critically challenges the contemporary Chilean poetic tradition, Christian forms of religiosity, and even the writer's biography. In this light, the article intends to demonstrate that Lira's writing relentlessly probes into the debris of language, and also into his own life and his desolated lyre. The distrust on reason, the loss of collective ideals, and a crude psychological perspective confirm the presence of a society stricken by unrest and frustration.
