Abstract
This article proposes a revision of the role of eroticism in Alan Paul’s El pasado. The study focuses on the notion of “erotic symphony” as a way to interpret the erotic phenomenon in the novel. The concept determines the presence of four movements in the construction and representation of voluptuousness, which are directly related to the four women that swirl around Rímini: Sofía, Vera, Carmen, and Nancy.
