Abstract
This article sets out to address the main features of the Fascist religious self, namely, the spiritual revolution that it implied, the ultimate consecration of men and women to the nation-state and the inner-worldly transcendence that it sought to achieve through a concept of a modern political mysticism. The Scuola di Mistica Fascista as more generally the Gruppi Universitari Fascisti (GUF) have been chosen as the privileged organisations for these dynamics, particularly for their self-view as the purest and authentic preservers of the Fascist dogma and for constituting a generation nearly entirely grown under the sign of the littorio.
