Academic of Veterinary Medicine School of Saint Sebastian University. Biotechnology with a Master's in Biochemistry and Bioinformatic and PhD in Aquatic Resources. International stay in the Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas del CSIC, en Vigo-Spain, en Norwegian University of Life Sciences NMBU, Oslo-Norway. Associate research of ANID Centers: Interdisciplinary Center for Aquaculture Research (INCAR) and Centro COPAS-COASTAL. PI of FONDECYT Post-Doctoral (2019-2022, #3190320) y FONDECYT INICIACION (2022-2025, #11220307). Also, Co-research of FONDECYT Regular (2021-2025, #1210852) and other projects with state funding (FONDEF and CORFO).
Teaching
Undergraduate teaching in the Veterinary Medicine school. Focus on veterinary immunology. Also, I have undergrad thesis direction and participate in Doctoral committees.
Research interests
Research interests in the host-parasite interaction using genomics tools. Model studies Atlantic salmon and sea lice Caligus rogercresseyi. Under their studies, highly functional genomics for Atlantic salmonder and sea lice unstanding. Also, functional genomics for Atlantic salmon smoltification process and the effects of environmental stress in the coastal organisms microbiota.
