    As a researcher, Dr. Cárcamo has developed FONDECYT research projects on child care and attachment relationships that children develop with their primary caregivers, and is also interested in child welfare, mental health, child prosocial behavior, and stress regulation

He holds a PhD in Developmental Psychopathology from the University of Leiden, The Netherlands, and a Master's degree in Cognitive Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. His research is related to child care in general
