    Professor Roberto Pastén Carrasco has a doctorate in Economics from the University of Alabama, United States. Former associate professor of the Institute of Economics of the Austral University of Chile and former Minister of the Third Environmental Court based in Valdivia (2013-2017). He is a member of the Circle of Honor of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEN) of the University of Chile as outstanding alumni of the year 2016. He has publications in environmental economics in journals such as Ecosystem Services, Journal of Macroeconomics, Economics Letters, Ecological Economics, among others.

    Teaching

    Roberto Pastén is a professor in the areas of economic growth; game theory and industrial organization; and economics of the environment and natural resources. He has been a visiting postgraduate professor at the University of Chile and University of Groningen, Netherlands. Former director of the Institute of Economics of the Austral University of Chile.
