She has studied the production of research knowledge in teacher training, teacher identity and reflective processes in teaching with student teachers. In developing this line of research, she has participated as a co-researcher in projects funded by ANID, and currently in the research group ‘Professorship, Training Policies and Professional Praxis’ (PROFOP), at the University of Biobío and as a researcher in interuniversity teams. She also develops the disciplinary line of recent Chilean history in interdisciplinary dialogue.

She is a research professor at the Faculty of Education of the Universidad San Sebastián. She holds a PhD in Education from the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, a Master's degree in Quality School Management and Direction from the Universidad del Desarrollo, a Bachelor's degree in Education and is a Professor of History and Geography from the Universidad de Concepción. She has worked in the initial training of teachers at universities in Biobío and Araucanía.

He has taught at pre- and postgraduate levels in chairs related to the pedagogical disciplines of teacher training and research methodology. At the Universidad San Sebastián, he holds the chairs of Philosophy of Education, Diversified Planning and Assessment for Learning, which is in dialogue with the line of research focused on the investigative image of teachers and their pedagogical identity.
