Main research interests are: medieval philosophy (esp. Augustine of Hippo, Hugh of Saint-Victor, Bonaventure, Thomas Aquinas); modern philosophy (esp. Descartes, Spinoza, Kant); medieval rhetoric; medieval theology (esp. hermeneutics).

Scholar specialized in questions of medieval and modern philosophy, theology, and rhetoric, treated from an interdisciplinary point of view. He has published various articles and a book (Inventio meditativa, Brepols, 2024). He is currently engaged in a Fondecyt project (2024-2027) on the phenomenon of self-deception that involves the three aforementioned areas. The project focuses on Augustine of Hippo, Hugo of Saint-Victor and Bonaventure of Bagnoregio. Additionally, he is under an agreement with Brepols Publishers to produce an English translation with commentaries of the dialogue De quantitate animae by Augustine of Hippo. Finally, he is carrying out a comprehensive translation into Spanish of René Descartes’ Meditationes de prima philosophia.

He teaches philosophy courses for the Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, as well as comprehensive training courses for other degrees. Additionally, he imparts a course on the history of practical philosophy for the Doctorate in Philosophy, as well as optional seminars in the same program.
