    Personal profile

    Personal profile

PhD in Experimental Particle Physics from Johannes Gutenberg Universität, Mainz, Germany, complemented by a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Proficient in research, teaching, academic managementand and coordination. Specializes in particle physics, particularly in data analysis from the ATLAS detector at the LHC and the development of jet energy corrections. Former Postdoctoral Researcher at the Millennium Institute SAPHIR, focusing on muon detector calibration and conducting exotic searches. Currently engaged in exotic particle searches and leading efforts in the validation and simulation of the Inner Tracker (ITk) for ATLAS at the HL-LHC.

    Teaching

In addition to teaching theoretical and experimental physics, as well as mathematics and statistics, he brings his expertise in particle physics research and his role in laboratory coordination to enrich the learning experience. Through his teaching, students gain a deeper understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications in experimental physics.

    Research interests

Research in particle physics with a focus on phenomenology beyond the Standard Model (BSM). His areas of interest include the search for supersymmetry and exotic signals in final states with leptons using the ATLAS detector, with a keen interest in the study of weak interactions. He has also played a crucial role in jet energy calibration and muon detector calibration. Currently, he is dedicated to the analysis and search for BSM, as well as the validation and simulation of the Inner Tracker (ITk) detector for ATLAS at the HL-LHC, contributing to the advancement of experimental particle physics.
