Dr. Paola Ojeda Biochemist and Pharmacist, completed her PhD in Chemistry and Structural Biology at the University of Queensland, Australia.She subsequently completed two postdoctoral fellowships, the first at the University of Talca and the second at the Catholic University of Brasília, Brazil. In addition, he has participated in different FONDECYT projects. Currently, she is the director of the project "Cyclic plant peptides: developing an ecofriendly crop protection solution against Lobesia botrana

Her experience as a university professor is extensive, mainly as pharmacology lecturer. She has participated in courses such as Clinical Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, Introduction to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacy, among others, at institutions such as Universidad Autonoma de Chile,Universidad Catolica del Maule, Universidad de Talca and Universidad San Sebastian

The Dr Paola Ojeda lab draws from the fields of chemical biology, peptide characterization and purification to understand how those small proteins can be used as platforms for drug discovery. We seek to develop and apply chemical methods to study peptides as natural products to use them as future medicine or agricultural products.
