Professor Perry´s main lines of research are Global History, Intellectual History and Political History

Mariana Perry studied History at the Catholic University of Chile, where she received his bachelor's degree in 2006. In 2010 she obtained a master's degree in International Studies at the University of Chile. From 2008 to mid-2012, she held the position of researcher at the Center for International Studies of the Catholic University of Chile. In September 2016, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis at Leiden University, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Humanities. In January 2018, ANID (National Research and Development Agency)  awarded her a postdoctoral fellowship to continue her research with the sponsorship of the University of Santiago and the Universidad San Sebastián. In March 2018, she began a full-time position as an assistant professor at the Universidad San Sebastián in the Institute of History. In 2023, she was awarded with the FONDECYT Iniciación research project, financed by ANID, which will lead her to conduct research on Chile's political international ties for 3 years

His main areas of teaching are the republican history of Chile, theory of history and seminar courses and thesis tutoring.
