My research is focused on topics such as evaluation of sensitivity of Caligus rogercresseyi to pharmacological treatments, evaluation of non-pharmacological treatments, fish parasitology, animal welfare of salmonids, parasitic zooplanctonic components, among others
Personal profile
I’am a Marine Biologist and a PhD in Aquaculture Sciences, and a specialist in Caligidosis. I’m a professional with more than 15 years of experience in research related to the reproductive area of pelagic fish, fish health and welfare, sensitivity to pharmacological and non pharmacological treatmeants, marine zooplancton analysis, biology and behavior of the parasite Caligus rogercresseyi, and identification of fish freshwater and marine parasites
Teaching
I teach parasitic diseases of impact in veterinary medicine, general aspects of veterinary pharmacology, and caligidosis: biology, chilean regulations, pharmacological and non pharmacological treatments, and antiparasitic sensitivity
