    Research interests

    She is currently researching for her FONDECYT initiation project No. 11251740, "“Businesswomen from Santiago between 1880 and 1925: challenges, strategies and possibilities between the modernization process and the Maza Law”. Her areas of research and topics of interest are related to the economic history of women in Chile, the history of the First Ladies of Latin America and the United States, and women in the New Diplomatic History.

    Personal profile

    She has specialized in the study of Chilean First Ladies. She has written books and research on the roles of spouses such as Juana Aguirre, Rosa Markmann and the Argentine Eva Perón. She has also studied the solidarity of young Chileans with countries such as Vietnam and the Dominican Republic in the 1960s. She has also researched the heroic formation in the period after the Chilean civil war of 1891. For some years now she has specialized in the study of Chilean businesswomen from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

    Teaching

    He teaches undergraduate courses related to the cultural area of ​​the Western world and monographic topics related to the History of America and Chile in the 20th century. In postgraduate courses he teaches courses on research methodology and populism in Latin America and Chile.
