Her research interests focus on patient safety, with an emphasis on preventing adverse events in hospitalized people with dementia. She develops lines of work that integrate qualitative and quantitative methods, psychometrics, and evidence synthesis to examine individual and organizational factors that affect care quality. Her research includes the development of measurement instruments, analysis of care experiences, and the study of the emotional impact of adverse events on healthcare professionals. She promotes the integration of teaching and research, strengthening professional training in care management, quality improvement, and safe clinical practice.

Her research line, focused on the prevention of adverse events in hospitalized people with dementia, enriches teaching by incorporating up-to-date evidence, applied examples, and critical analysis of clinical practice. This integration strengthens student training in key areas such as patient safety, evidence-based decision-making, and continuous quality improvement in healthcare services.
