    Lisandro Roco is a Research Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Government of Universidad San Sebastián, in Valdivia, Chile. He was an Associate Professor of the Institute of Agricultural Economics of Universidad Austral de Chile, and Director of the Master in Rural Development of the same university. Previously, he was part of the Department of Economics and Director of the Regional Applied Economics Institute (IDEAR) at Universidad Católica del Norte, Antofagasta. He completed his doctorate at Universidad de Talca under joint tutelage with the University of Connecticut (USA). He was nominated as Lead Author of the Sixth Global Assessment of the Intergovernmental Panel of Experts on Climate Change (IPCC). Nowadays, he is the General Secretary of the Chilean Association of Agricultural Economists (AEA) and a member of the Chilean Society of Economics (SECHI)

    Teaching

    Lisandro Roco teaches Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Environmental and Resource Economics and Sustainability at undergraduate level. At graduate level teaches Quantitative Methods and Environmental Economics

    Research interests

    His research interests include the Adaptation to Climate Change, the Economics of Natural Resources, Regional Development and Bioeconomy Development. He has led and collaborated in research projects financed by FONDECYT, LACEEP (Latin American and Caribbean Environmental Economics Program), FONDEF, EXPLORA and PCI (ANID), INNOVA (CORFO), among others. He has also worked in consultancy for several companies, organizations, and public institutions
