She is interested in the implications of public policy models in regulating substance use and the health system's response in these cases. Additionally, she is interested in studies focused on occupational health, especially in the development of interprofessional collaboration and the prevention of psychosocial risks in the workplace, such as violence.

Personal profile

Nurse with a master's degree and a doctorate in public health. For ten years, she has participated in research in South and North America, developed university curricula, worked as a clinical nurse, and collaborated with civil society groups. She completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Sherbrooke, Canada, specializing in longitudinal epidemiological models, mixed designs, and the evaluation of public policies on substance use. Currently, she is the deputy director of the Joanna Briggs Institute in South America and a Young Researcher at the Millennium Nucleus for the evaluation of drug policies.

Teaching

She teaches courses in epidemiology and evidence-based nursing practice. Her research in public policy and health services exposes students to how epidemiological study designs and statistical tools contribute to improving the healthcare system. Additionally, the development of evidence synthesis provides examples of how evidence-based practice is developed and applied in specific nursing and health topics.
