    Research interests

    Currently my research focuses on the economic history of Chile, preferably the 19th and early 20th centuries. We are collaborating on the History of the Republic of Chile 1810-2010, directed by Fernando Silva, Juan Eduardo Vargas and René Millar, sponsored by the Academy Chilean History and published by Ediciones UC.

    Graduate in Philosophy with a major in History from the PUC, PhD from the University of London. Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the Institute of History of the Catholic University of Chile until 2015. Later I joined the USS first as a collaborator of the Histroia de Chile project and then as a professor of the History doctoral program of which I was director. until the present year of 2022
