Jose Arias holds a PhD in Finance from the Middlesex University London and a Master in Finance from the Universidad de Chile. Currently, he serves as a Finance Researcher at the Universidad San Sebastian, Chile. His primary areas of interest lie in the intersection between Corporate Finance and Banking. His research has been published in journals such as Finance Research Letters, Emerging Markets Review, Research in International Business and Finance, Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, among others. He has served as an Associated Researcher at the CEEDR-Middlesex University and as an external consultant for public and private organizations.

Jose Arias's primary teaching interests revolve around Corporate Finance and Financial Management. He is passionate about equipping students with the skills to analyze and interpret financial information using fundamental and advanced financial models. By integrating concepts from financial analyses and corporate finance, he aims to provide students with the tools to explore and understand financial problems through empirical and theoretical study. His research and practical experience always feed into his teaching and help him become an experienced educator.
