    Licenciate in Law and Philosophy, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. LLM by Research in History and Philosophy of Law, University of Edinburgh. PhD in Law, University of Edinburgh. Author of the book "Just Price Theory: A Reassessment" (Hart Publishing) and of several academic articles on private law, legal theory and the philosophy of private law. Over 10 years of experience in university teaching and research at undergraduate and postgraduate level (Edinburgh, PUC, UAI, UDP, among others). Now he is leading research projects on just price theory (FONDECYT) and also part of the Staff at the PhD programmes in Philosophy at USS.

    Teaching

    His undergraduate teaching focuses on private law, philosophy of law and legal ethics. His postgraduate teaching focuses on the philosophy of private law, just price theory, tort law and general jurisprudence.

    Research interests

    His current research interests include the analytical, historical, and normative implications of the concept of the 'just price' for contemporary private law rules and institutions and the underlying normative structure of private law. He is also interested in the relationship between normative ethics, markets, and the law; distributive and corrective justice; exploitation; virtue ethics and its application to legal theory ("virtue jurisprudence").
