    Personal profile

    Personal profile

Hernán holds a PhD in Physics at Pontificia Universidad Católica in 2013. He pursued postdoctoral studies at the Université Libre de Bruxelles from 2013 to 2016 and at the Technische Universität Wien from 2016 to 2018.

    Teaching

He has taught introductory courses in Physics and Introduction to Science, as well as specialized courses for master's and doctoral students in Physics.

    Research interests

He is interested in applying General Relativity to the study of spacetime structure in situations where the gravitational field is very intense. Part of his research has focused on constructing extensions of the AdS/CFT correspondence to asymptotically flat spaces, which are a good approximation of the real geometry of the universe. Likewise, these geometries describe the nature of black holes in the vicinity of their event horizons. Recently, he is focusing on the construction of a holographic principle that allows for the description of soft interactions in particles mediating non-abelian interactions.
