    Dr Francisco J. Fernández completed his PhD in Agricultural Economics at Technical University of Madrid (Spain). He has worked as a Consultant for the Green Climate Fund at the Ministry of Finance and the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC). As an educator, Francisco has taught undergraduate courses at the School of Agronomy, Universidad Mayor, and at the Facultad de Economía y Gobierno, Universidad San Sebastián, and postgraduate courses at various other national universities. Currently, he focuses on the economic impact of climate change in primary sectors, notably agriculture and aquaculture. His research spans adaptation to climate change, agricultural sustainability, regional development, and integrating Natural Capital approaches in accounting and policy.

    Teaching

    Francisco teaches Statistics and Probabilities, Agricultural Economics, and Introduction to Microeconomics at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level, he teaches Environmental Economics and Quantitative methods

    Research interests

    His research interests include the economic impact of climate change in primary sectors such as agriculture and aquaculture, Adaptation to climate change, Agricultural sustainability, regional development, and Natural Capital approaches in accounting and policy assessments.
