    Research interests

    His area of ​​disciplinary specialization is social psychology, specifically, the area of ​​relationships between minority and majority groups. He has published scientific articles in national and international indexed journals. In addition, he has written book chapters and edited several books, the latter being published by the North American Psychological Association (APA) in 2021. As a responsible researcher, he has been in charge of the following research projects: Fondecyt de Iniciación 11090290 (2009-2011 ), Fondecyt Regular 1151360 (2015-2018) and Fondecyt Regular 1190987 (2019-2022) and as co-investigator of Fondecyt Regular 1180607 (2018-2021).

    He obtained his doctorate degree (PhD) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. As part of his doctoral training, he completed an internship at the Department of Psychology at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Germany). He has been involved in academic activities at both undergraduate and postgraduate leveles at the Universidad Diego Portales (Santiago) and the Universidad del Desarrollo (Concepción). Currently, he took a position as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Psychology and Humanities at the Universidad San Sebastián (Concepción).

    Teaching

    During his career as a teacher he has taught undergraduate and graduate subjects such as Social Psychology, Group Psychology, Contemporary Theories of Psychology and Mental Health and Community. At the Faculty of Psychology and Humanities of the San Sebastián University he teaches the subjects of “Social Psychology I” and “Research Project”.
