    Su área de especialización disciplinaria es la psicología social, concretamente, el ámbito de las relaciones entre grupos minoritarios y mayoritarios. Ha publicado artículos científicos en revistas indexadas nacionales e internacionales. Además, ha escrito capítulos de libros y editado varios libros, siendo este último publicado por la Asociación Norteamericana de Psicología (APA) en 2021. Como investigador responsable ha estado a cargo de los siguientes proyectos de investigación: Fondecyt de Iniciación 11090290 (2009-2011), Fondecyt Regular 1151360 (2015-2018) y Fondecyt Regular 1190987 (2019-2022) y como co-investigador del Fondecyt Regular 1180607 (2018-2021).

    Personal profile

    El Dr. David Sirlopú obtuvo el grado de Doctor en Psicología (PhD) en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Como parte de su formación doctoral, realizó una pasantía en el Departamento de Psicología de la Universidad de Jena (Alemania). Ha desarrollado actividades académicas en los niveles de pregrado y postgrado en la Universidad Diego Portales (Santiago) y la Universidad del Desarrollo (Concepción). Actualmente trabaja como en la Facultad de Psicología y Humanidades de la Universidad San Sebastián (Concepción).

    Teaching

    Durante su carrera como docente ha dictado asignaturas en pregrado y postgrado tales como Psicología social, Psicología de los grupos, Teorías contemporáneas de la psicología y Salud mental y comunidad. En la Facultad de Psicología y Humanidades de la Universidad San Sebastián dicta las asignaturas de “Psicología social I” y “Proyecto de Investigación”.
