Her main research focus is on the molecular study of odontogenic tumors and cysts. Additionally, she collaborates in research on potentially malignant lesions and oral cancer with other research groups at the Universidad Andrés Bello. She also collaborates internationally with researchers from the University of the Republic of Uruguay and the University of Liverpool and Sheffield in the United Kingdom.
Bachelor of Dentistry (2010), Dentist Surgeon (2011) from UNAB, Viña del Mar. Master of Dental Sciences with a Mention in Pathology and Oral Medicine (2017) from UNAB, Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology (2018) from CONACEO, PhD in Molecular Pathology from the University of Sheffield (2023). She worked as a university lecturer from 2012 to 2023 at the Faculty of Dentistry of UNAB, Viña del Mar, where she coordinated courses in General Histology, Oral Histology, General Pathology I and II, Forensic and Legal Dentistry, Oral Medicine, and Research Project. She has supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate theses. In the research field, her focus is on the molecular study of a group of lesions called "odontogenic tumors", specifically ameloblastoma. She has worked in bioinformatics, through exome and transcriptome sequencing studies, as well as in molecular biology, using techniques such as qPCR, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence; as well as tissue culture. In March 2024, she joined the Faculty of Dentistry at USS, Patagonia Campus, as a Research Lecturer, where she is also opening the Oral Pathology clinic. Clinically, she mainly focuses on treating patients referred for oral pathologies, although at the beginning of her career, she worked as a Dentist Surgeon in the dental service of the Chilean Navy and other public services, such as health centers.
