Teaching

Professor Claudio Carvajal teaches undergraduate courses in the areas of function, pathology, evaluation and treatment of the musculoskeletal system for the Kinesiology degree at the Faculty of Dentistry and Rehabilitation Sciences. In the postgraduate level, he teaches classes and directs theses in the areas of pain, evaluation, kinetic treatment and regenerative therapy for the Master's in Musculoskeletal Kinesiology. He is also a member of the Academic Committee and former Director of the same program. Finally, Professor Carvajal has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education courses at national and international institutions.

Research interests

Claudio Carvajal is a Research Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry and Cs. of Rehabilitation of the USS. His scientific interest focuses on the study of musculoskeletal pain and the analgesic effects of physical exercise. Thus, his line of research includes the topics of chronic pain, evaluation and kinesiological treatment, including the use of technologies for rehabilitation. He currently works as a researcher of the FONIS SA22I0092 project “Physical exercise guided by active video games for the optimization of clinical and psychosocial results in older people with knee and/or hip osteoarthritis under the RBC model.”

Professor Claudio Carvajal is a Kinesiologist (2000), clinical specialist in Musculoskeletal Kinesiology (2018), Master in High Performance (2013) and is pursuing a PhD in Physical Activity and Health Sciences (University of Cádiz). He is an Associate Professor and Researcher at the Faculty of Dentistry and Rehabilitation Sciences. He has extensive experience in teaching and directing undergraduate and postgraduate theses at various Universities. He has been Director of the Diploma and Master in Musculoskeletal Kinesiology USS (2015-2021). He has been awarded as Co-Director and Researcher 2 FONIS projects (2018 and 2022). He is the author of book chapters, scientific publications, posters/presentations at national and international conferences and peer reviewer of indexed journals.
