Research interests
Her research focuses on the nature of interactions governing Host-Guest systems with biological applications, designing supramolecular systems capable of releasing antibiotics and destabilizing bacterial biofilms by capturing Homoserine Lactones, key molecules in bacterial quorum sensing. To achieve this, she employs molecular electronic structure methods such as Density Functional Theory (DFT), ab-initio quantum mechanical methods, Energy Decomposition Analysis (EDA and EDA-NOCV), Natural Bond Orbital (NBO) analysis, and Non-Covalent Interaction (NCI) analysis.
