Midwife, Specialist in Gynecology, Master's in Reproductive Health from the University of Concepción, and Ph.D. in Health Sciences from the University of Alicante, Spain. Before joining the Universidad San Sebastián, she worked as an associate professor at the University of Concepción, where she was involved in undergraduate education, research, postgraduate programs, community engagement, and held management positions

Professor at the Ciencias para el Cuidado de la Salud faculty. Her undergraduate teaching focuses on courses in gynecology and research seminars. She has also taught postgraduate courses in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, which have strengthened her research line

Her research focuses on the pelvic floor, specifically on the prevention of female pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD), quality of life and sexual function in women with PFD, promotion of pelvic health, and determinants of access to healthcare for women with PFD.
