Surgeon from the University of Chile, Specialist in Internal Medicine from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) and Specialist in Infectious Diseases from the University of California, Los Angeles. Professor of Medicine at the PUC and the USS. Positions and positions at the PUC (1988-2019): Head of the Service, Department and Division of Internal Medicine. Creator and head of the Specialization Program in Adult Infectious Diseases. Medical Director of the UC Clinical Hospital and the UC CHRISTUS Health Network. Former president of the Chilean Society of Infectology. Advisor to the MINSAL and Ministry of Science on HIV, Influenza, COVID 19. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Science of the USS since December 2019. Infectologist at Clínica Universidad de los Andes since March 2020.
