César Enrique Díaz Cid, PhD

From his doctoral studies he has ventured into literatures and discourses of self-representation in Latin American authors. mainly Chileans. Publications over the last 10 years confirm this interest. From the Internal Research Fund of the San Sebastián University, an interdisciplinary team of researchers from the Language and History majors is generated who manage to be accepted to present at LASA 2019, Boston (May, 2019) and at the International Seminar organized by the Catholic University of Chile in Tribute to Pedro Lastra (June. 2019). Currently, he ventures into areas of Philosophy of Education as part of the teaching work of the Doctorate in Philosophy at the San Sebastián University.

Dr. César Díaz Cid, MA of Arts Romance languages and Literature, 199. PhD Romance Languages and Literature, 1996, University of Washington (Seattle) Entre 1996 y 2000 es Lecturer en Massey University (Nueva Zelanda), a partir del 2001 es Senior Lecturer en Unitec NZ. Allí dirige el programa de BA en español y desarrolla su trabajo en investigación, labor que es altamente reconocida por Unitec NZ con el Premio al investigador del año 2004. Entre el 2008 al 2009 realiza docencia en la Universidad Central de Chile en la Facultad de Educación, colabora en las clases de cultura y literatura; Metodología de investigación; dirige proyectos de tesis de pregrado y de magister. Desde marzo del 2010 es director de la carrera de Pedagogía de Educación Media en Lenguaje y Comunicación de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Educación en la Universidad San Sebastián. Realiza docencia en cursos de literatura y cultura, ha dirigido proyectos de titulación para la carrera de Lenguaje. Ha sido docente en los programas de doctorado de Historia y en el de Filosofía de la Universidad San Sebastián.

At the undergraduate level he has taught courses in Culture and Literature and Research Methodology. These courses are focused on the training of secondary school teachers who, once qualified, must introduce their students to these disciplinary areas. The theses directed to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Education address real problems that are detected in public education in Chile. In the courses of doctoral programs, teaching in areas of Critical Thinking and Philosophy of Education allows doctoral students to venture into disciplines related to their main specialization.
