    Ana Beatriz Silva Lopes completed her master's degree in Dentistry with an emphasis in Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry of Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil). She is currently a doctoral candidate in Dental Sciences at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Chile.

    Ana Beatriz Lopes is a dental surgeon and Master in Dentistry from the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri, Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She is a PhD candidate in Dental Sciences from the University of Chile. She is currently a research professor and professor in the Comprehensive Children's Clinic, Introduction to Dentistry and prevention promotion in Oral Health at the San Sebastián University, Santiago, Chile.

    Research interests

    Su principal línea de investigación es la Epidemiología de las Enfermedades Orales y factores determinantes asociados. Se ha dedicado especialmente en estudiar la prevalencia de las enfermedades orales en niños/as y personas mayores. Durante 2018-2020 investigó sobre: “Effect of oral hygiene in infants on Candida spp. colonization and the occurrence of oral candidiasis: A randomized clinical trial”. Actualmente ha investigado sobre el “Impacto en el nivel de literacidad posterior a la implementación de un programa de alfabetización en salud oral en personas mayores”.
