Dr. Arce Alvarez is a Kinesiologist, he obtained his Master's degree in Health Sciences in 2016 from the Finis Terrae University and completed his doctorate in Health Sciences at the Public University of Navarra (Pamplona, ​​Spain) in the year 2023. Before joining the San Sebastián University, he was a professor of the chairs of General Physiology, Physiopathology, Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology at the Silva Henriquez Catholic University, the Autonomous University of Chile and the University of the Americas for different careers in the area of ​​sports and health. Currently, he is a Research Professor at the School of Kinesiology at the San Sebastián University.

Currently, Dr. Arce Alvarez works as a professor of Clinical Physiology of Exercise and Research Methodology.

Dr. Arce Alvarez has based his research on understanding the adaptations of the autonomic nervous system to exercise and pathological conditions such as diabetes, hypertension or obesity. To date it consists of 24 indexed investigations (WOS)
